The aftermath of Saudi Arabia F2

The aftermath of Saudi Arabia F2

The Saudi Arabian Formula 2 just got over and definitely as expected it did answer a lot of questions The racing teams had gone in this circuit which has some tricky turns, especially some of the chicanes which are tricky in terms of the challenges. When it came to the feature race results it was Lawson of Carlin that got the better of others. In a sprint race that was constantly being disrupted by the safety car issues, the New Zealander did keep his nerve to get to the top position in the race. This is why this could give him a lot of confidence while coming up in terms of the other races. Jake Hughes who had a podium finish unfortunately suffered the consequences of the technical faults for which he was stripped off his position despite being third. Finally, the question of the fierce race between Lawson and Vips came in with both fighting it out to get on top of the podium. Indeed, both of them did but as mentioned earlier Lawson kept a steadier nerve to get the better of the competition which also was a stiff challenge being thrown by Juri VIPs. There was also a nearly wheel to wheel race with Verschoor and Hughes fighting it out to get to the podium which was indeed won by Hughes with him facing other complications related to the results later. Now coming back to the question of Verschoor he did not have a great outing as such.

Verschoor could only finish 6th whereas Drugovich managed to come from 10th to 4th in the Sprint race. In between all of this Prema Racing with Jehan Daruvala and Haugher. Although the latter was penalized for speeding into pitlane entry when apparently it was closed. However, this too has been challenged by Prema Racing Team. Now continuing with this and moving on to the feature race results, Prema Racing Team had a lot to prove especially from their drivers and they were certainly on a mission. Jehan Daruvala who came from 14th to finish on third in the podium is definitely the talk with his skills on display and the potential being realized. It all came down to the question of strategy and who was going in with which kind of tyres. Initially the culmination of Pourchaire after his brilliant performance in Bahrain followed by Lawson to exit too with his tyres not fitted properly were examples of how the overall scenario failed for both these drivers. Now the question remains that is Drugovich the man to beat. Surely, he seems to be in his own zone and the way he has been performing especially with his pole position in the sprint race and then a podium finish. He himself seems to be happy with the results as he feels he is getting into the zone and now the question all comes down to his car and him being in sync like this race not committing to any errors ahead.
