Bagnaia’s Drink and Drive Fiasco
Bagnaia’s Citroen was involved in an early-morning Tuesday accident, according to sources in the Spanish publication Diario de Ibiza.
When local police and the Guardia Civil arrived on the scene, they administered a breathalyser test to the driver, who was later identified as Bagnaia.
The reading from Bagnaia was 0.87mg/l, which is three times the 0.25mg/l legal limit for drivers in Spain before they may operate a vehicle. There were no injuries recorded, and the collision just affected the Ducati rider.
Bagnaia may now be subject to a licence suspension because of this offence, which carries a one- to four-year driving suspension as a punishment.
Ducati has not addressed the event in the media.
