Bahrain test

Bahrain test

The last Formula 1 test before the start of the season gets underway from tomorrow in Bahrain. The preseason test spans 3 days ( 10th, 11th & 12th March) and with teams still struggling to get their cars race-ready, there’s a lot to unpack from the test.

Teams and drivers have been vocal about how the tests in Barcelona mean very little. This is because teams usually test parts and new pieces of the cars and not a new car in its entirety.
However, rumours have it that the Mercedes team is set to field a radicle new design since the Barcelona tests. This has caused concern in the paddock as the chances of Mercedes Nailing a regulation change are not at all slim.

HAAS, who experienced a tumultuous start to the season, ran into more problems as their flight with their freight, got heavily delayed. This means that the team is likely to miss the first day of testing, Adding to the woes of the team that had the least amount of laps in Barcelona.

With teams being ultra-secretive to avoid other teams taking inspiration from them, it’s fun to see how the teams will run their practice sessions. With the Bahrain Gp a few days away, Will they turn their cars up and extract as much pace as they can? Or do they believe in the simulations and the predictions that they made? Guess we’ll have to find out.
