Rumour has it that Daniel Riccardo could be out of Mclaren. He has a contract for next year, but since the start of this season, it looks like his team has been trying to replace him with their CEO saying that there are mechanisms in his contract to do so. He had said

“I don’t want to get into the contract [details], But there are mechanisms in which we are committed to each other and then there are mechanisms in which we are not.
“I’ve spoken with Daniel about it. We are not getting the results we both hoped for, but we will both continue to push.

Another Australian could replace him

The driver who he could be replaced could be the controversial, Oscar Piastri. They recently denied that he would be racing for Alpine when they announced him. Sources say that Piastri is signed by alpine for 2022, and they did not exercise their right to sign him for 2023, which they should have done by the end of July.

Mclaren is waiting to find a replacement team for Riccardo to drive before announcing Piastri. The most likely team is Alpine, which was previously Renault. Riccardo excelled in Renault in 2020. And Team principal Otmar also revealed that He would have no problem with Riccardo coming back to the team.
