ENTRY LIST: Safari Rally Kenya

There are 12 top-tier Rally1 vehicles on the list, as well as 10 WRC2 elite support cars. WRC3 vehicles are well-represented as well, with five Rally3-spec cars on display. In Toyota Gazoo Racing’s GR Yaris, championship leader Kalle Rovanperä leads the field for the sixth round of the season. Sébastien Ogier, who replaces Esapekka Lappi to defend his Safari title, and Elfyn Evans join the Finn.

Takamoto Katsuta is the driver of a fourth GR Yaris for Toyota’s second-string team.

M-Sport Ford has a strong lineup of five automobiles. In a fleet of hybrid-powered Puma Rally1 cars, returning icon Sébastien Loeb will join Craig Breen, Gus Greensmith, and Adrien Fourmaux, while Greek driver Jourdan Serderidis will also pilot an additional car.

Hyundai Motorsport is represented by Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak, the winner of the Rally Italia Sardegna, with Oliver Solberg replacing Dani Sordo in the third entry for his fourth appearance of the season.

In a koda Fabia Rally2 Evo, Polish driver Kajetan Kajetanowicz leads the WRC2 contenders. Martin Prokop, who was severely injured in an incident in 2021, will also compete in a Ford Fiesta Rally2, while Sean Johnston will compete in a Citroen C3 Rally.

The Fabias of Raajpal Bharij and Gaurav Gill, as well as Karan Patel and Leroy Gomes, who have entered Fiesta vehicles, are set to be among the frontrunners.

Mcrae Kimathi, an FIA Junior WRC driver, is one of several local drivers competing in WRC3, with Diego Dominguez, the winner of the Rally Italia Sardegna, also making the trek to Africa.
