Russell goes fastest, Leclerc 2nd & Perez 3rd, Sainz Crashes again – Formula 1 Miami GP FP2

As the second practice session got underway, all of the drivers started with the medium compound tyre. we saw the Alfa Romeo of Valterri Bottas remain in the garage as they continued repairs. He would not take part in FP2. Another driver in doubt about taking part was Max Verstappen as his team decided to change his gearbox to avoid any failures.

Sainz Misery
Sainz continued his run of unfortunate luck as he managed to get his car into the wall at the beginning of the session. This got out the red flags as they hoisted the Ferrari back to the garage.

Once the track was clear and the session resumed, we saw Max Verstappen’s brakes catch fire spectacularly. He was forced to limp his car home and his team worked frantically on it

George Russell continued to impress the fans with yet another dominant display. The upgraded Mercedes car looks more controlled as the driver set the fastest time. His teammate lewis hamilton managed to get in 4th fastest as well.
Lando Norris sat in P6 and Gasly in P7.
So with the front 3 reading as Mercedes, Ferrari and Redbull, it will be exciting to see how that pace translates in qualifying.
