Could Gasly move to Alpine?

The Driver transfer saga of Formula 1 continues with yet another player, This time it might be, Pierre Gasly, or as Daniel Riccardo says

But Gasly has signed a contract with Alpha Tauri right? here’s no way that he could be out?

 

Well, According to reports, Gasly has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave alpha Tauri, but only for a team higher up in the standings than alpha Tauri.
Alpha Tauri currently sits 8th in the standings and just has Aston martin and Williams below them. So that leaves alpine on the table. And we could see easily go there. 

Gasly is a phenomenal driver and has proven his worth in Formula 1 over the seasons, but it’s clear that there is no place for him at Redbull racing.

Special clauses like this are a part of Formula 1 

Max Verstappen reportedly has a clause that will allow him to leave Redbull if they do not give him a car that can win championships.
Helmut Marko Spoke on this and said 

“Of course. If we experience a ‘crash’ like in 2014, when we had absolutely no chance against Mercedes on the engine side, then it’s clear there is an escape clause,”

“Max is an important link in the chess game. It is not surprising that manufacturers take this into account.
