Haslam Will Skip Most WSBK Rounds

Kawasaki had asked Haslam to go to Japan early so he could start preparing for the well-known motorcycle enduro scheduled for August 5-7, according to a statement issued by Pedercini on Tuesday. Haslam will compete for the factory Kawasaki squad in Suzuka alongside Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes, who will also stay in Most for the season’s sixth race before heading to Japan early the following week.

Ryan Vickers, who finished 12th in the British Superbike Championship last year with a different Kawasaki ZX-10RR, will replace Haslam at Pedercini.

Haslam, Rea, and current Yamaha rider Toprak Razgatlioglu were all a part of the team that gave Kawasaki its first victory in the Suzuka 8 Hours in more than 20 years in 2019.

Haslam parted ways with Kawasaki at the conclusion of the 2019 WSBK season and went with Honda, but this year in the BSB with the Lee Hardy Racing squad, he rejoined the former.
