India Might Host 2023 MotoGP!

Remember when India hosted Formula 1? Yes, it has been a long time since we got to experience the speed and the adrenaline rush. But guess what? We will get a chance to feel the speed and get surrounded by the roaring sound of engines very soon.

India is all set to host the MotoGP race next year. The news is making rounds, but it will be confirmed within this week. According to a recent report by Network 18the announcement, as confirmed by sources, will be made by Carmelo Ezpeleta, Chief Executive Officer, Dorna which will also include details about a full race weekend happening in India. Dorna Motorsports is the owner of the commercial rights for all MotoGP, worldwide. This full race weekend will include MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 races being conducted in the country. Additionally, fans will also be able to enjoy MotoE electric motorcycle racing which could take place in India as early as the end of 2022. The MotoE race, however, will depend on the racetrack being ready in due time.

FairStreet Sports is the driving force behind bringing the premier racing class back to India. Though several details about the upcoming MotoGP race in India are still under wraps, it indeed is exciting news for all the Motorsport fans in the country.

The race might take place in the lost forgotten asset, Buddha International Circuit. Though the confirmation about the track and venue is yet to be delivered, the chances of BIC being the choice are quite high.

Finally, it looks like things are turning in the favour of India. If Dorna decides to host the races and we do not make a goof by taxing the races as we did with F1 in 2012, chances are that India might secure a permanent seat in the Dorna’s roaster. With Dorna coming to India, there are fair chances of Indian talent to get the limelight, and who knows maybe in the future we might have our own Indian Valentino Rossi.
