Hamilton as a fighter Pilot?

The recent Top gun film was brilliant. It was packed to the brim, with speed and action.
And Formula 1 Racer Lewis Hamilton was almost, one of the fighter pilots. 

Speaking to Vanity Fair. Hamilton revealed that he and Tom Cruise became good friends and that Tom offered him a role in the new Top gun movie, As a fighter pilot! Hamilton was a fan of the first movie as a kid and the opportunity seemed too good to miss.
So when I heard the second one was coming out, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I have to ask him,’ ” he says. “I said, ‘I don’t care what role it is. I’ll even sweep something, be a cleaner in the back.’ ” Cruise said yes. And Hamilton was not to be a cleaner; he was to be one of the fighter pilots.
But he had to miss it. The filming would take place during the peak of the Formula 1 season. And Hamilton knew that he would not be able to dedicate himself to it completely.

 

That being said, Hamilton is a part of the new F1 apple film that is making. It’s being directed by the same dude who did top gun maverick, Joseph Kosinski. And it also has Brad Pitt! Hamilton is taking this film seriously, just like with everything else he does. He’s taken Brad Pitt on a tour of the Mercedes F1 factory and he’s also been carefully examining the script for authenticity, because according to him “To hear the B.S. that’s in the script because the Americans that are writing it are just getting newly accustomed to Formula 1.”
