Lots to play for as the Formula 2 season begins
Finally alongside the Formula 1, the season of Formula 2 also started. It was a race that much like its senior counterpart was intense and holds a lot of things to contemplate. First and foremost there are some hot names going around the cirucuit who are touted to be the clear favourites. One is the name of Jehan Daruvala the Indian young star who has been quite a name in the racing circuit, His outing in the sprint race did give his fans hope that he will be on the podium after the final race. Although that did not materialize. The man who represents Prema racing did not finish well in the final race unlike how he started his sprint race finishing. Although in the final race of Formula 2 the Frenchman Theo Pourchaire coming out all guns blazing with his native country team ART racing surely would make his fans and the French happy. Bahrain is a new circuit and keeping the balance between speed and the long haul of defending position both are needed. This is where he came in handy and played the part well to hold on to the winning position. He seemed to be focused and thaht is probably the reason why even after the race rather than being overenthusiastic or eccentricly elated he does mention that the crash in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia still haunts him. Crashes are a common story for all the professional motorsports personalities but learning from them is the key to move ahead.
The Frenchman sure did keep his nerve to take home the first race of the Formula 2 season. Also not to forget that every race comes with its own share of controversies. So here we go towards that part Verschoor had a clash with Roy Nissany who was driving for Williams and trying to defend his position. In the circuit of motorsports every second, turn and most importantly every points matter, Formula 1 may be the races we look forward too but Formula 2 is no stranger to this and may likely be much more intense in these principles. It is an unpredictable zone as the results for Prema racing show and no one is willing to give up their position. Verschoor fought hard to win the sprint race and as for Prema racing both their drivers who looked assured to give them a bag full of points. However things did not turn as expected. Therefore it already shows that the teams and rhe drivers will be feeling the pressure already. The next race up is another one heated contest at Middle East and surely this would be as difficult race as any other. Last season too there was a lot of drama and as mentioned before Pourchaire already had a bad crash there. However like any other sport it is all about coming back. The first race is just a beginner and has given the teams and drivers atleast an intitation point on where they can go from here.
