Marc Marquez is Back!

Marc Marquez is Back!

The biggest concern MotoGP fans had till now was whether Marc Marquez was fit enough to make a comeback on the track and bag podium positions. Though his test run on Tuesday was somewhere promising, the fatigue was evident by the look on Marc Marquez’s face.

Well, the good news is that he again displayed his valour and talent during his test runs on Wednesday. During the final day of the Misano test, Marc Marquez increased his laps and decreased his fastest time, taking a step closer to a comeback to the MotoGP race in Aragon.

After Marc Marquez underwent the second arm surgery in May and participated in Tuesday’s test race he was unsure if he will be able to race on Wednesday due to soreness in his arm. Owing to sheer determination, Marc Marquez was able to complete 61 laps as compared to 39 laps on Tuesday.

Addressing his Wednesday performance, Marc Marquez said, “I’m very happy because definitely on the second day the feeling was better, especially in the morning,” Marquez said. In the afternoon I was struggling a bit more with the arm position because the muscles were empty. Then I started to do some strange positions and some pain appeared, but then we stopped. It was in the plan, it’s exactly what the doctors and the physio told me would happen.”

The Spaniard finished the race in 13th place overall, as the highest Honda rider, and was only 0.588 seconds slower than world champion Fabio Quartararo. Although the eight-time world champion’s speed was never seriously questioned, his biggest adversary is physical endurance.
