Marc Marquez’s MotoGP Return Saga

Marc Marquez’s MotoGP Return Saga

It is the time almost every MotoGP enthusiast was waiting for. The return of MotoGP world champion, Marc Marquez. Yes, Marc Marquez has made his return after undergoing surgery. What awaits now is if he is fully recovered from the surgery or not. Well, let’s talk about his rehabilitation in MotoGP.

After taking a break for almost 100 days, Marc Marquez made his return to MotoGP racing tracks on Tuesday during the Misano Track test. Marc Marquez recently underwent 4th surgery, on his right arm.

To make a comeback easier and to endure the machine and the track, Marc Marquez started his gym training. But sometimes being out of the real action can make one out of form. The same happened with the world champion Marc Marquez, who despite training hard at the gym was shocked by the utter raw power of the MotoGP bike, this Tuesday.

Marc Marquez said, “I only started in the gym two weeks ago, did two days on a [road] bike and then straight to MotoGP! So the timing was quite tight and there is still a long way to go, but I feel good, I didn’t enjoy the first run because these bikes are too fast! But from that point on I started to enjoy it a bit more. Still, after 100 days [away] you are riding mostly by instinct.”

Marc Marquez managed to complete 39 laps in the morning session. He worked to secure the 17th position on the speed timesheet blocking 0.864s from the fastest rider Aleix Espargaro.

Marc Marquez was seen constantly touching his arm and shoulders and to this, he said that after the surgery and being away from MotoGP training, his muscles were acting a bit differently. Marquez’s right humerus was rotated 34 degrees out.

Marquez’s two-wheel return on the CBR600 had taught him that the physical effects of riding can be most excellent the day after. So that Marquez could save his muscles for Wednesday’s final day, the team insisted that he stay within the 40-lap restriction.
