Mohammed Ibrahim to Represent India at SIM Racing World Cup Finals

India can never run out of talent pool. Mohammed Ibrahim just proved that if Indian youth can be provided with the right guidance, they can reach the pinnacles of the world of Motorsport.

By placing second in the Asian Continental Qualifiers, Mohammed Ibrahim qualified for the inaugural Sim Racing World Cup final.

Thanathip Tanalapanan of Thailand took the lead after finishing the race in 1:33.561, but Ibrahim finished the race admirably with a lap time of 1:33.575.

In contrast, Davlish Singh, the only driver from India competing, finished sixth overall with a lap time of 1:34.026 during the qualifiers, which had 14 of Asia’s best drivers vying for two final slots.

Earlier both the racing prodigies Davlish and Ibrahim participated in NESC22 (Simracing), the Indian National Qualifiers which were held in a hybrid mode at Esports Federation of India (ESFI)’s multiplex partner INOX’s Megaplex, hosted in Mumbai.

In the qualifiers, racers from 39 countries participated out of which the top 12 racers including Ibrahim will race again for the title in Monaco from October 23 to 24.

The International Esports Federation, in collaboration with the Monaco Esports Federation, will host the first-ever Sim Racing World Cup. Assetto Corsa, one of the most well-liked sim racing games ever, is featured in the competition.
