One Crash and Fourmaux is Out!
The recent crash of the Fourmaux team resulted in an unexpected turn of events in WRC. The entire British squad of the team Fourmaux is set to sit on the bench for the next WRC Race.
The team originally planned to have six Rally1 cars for the 8th September race. The team was supposed to be headed by world champion Sebastian Loeb. The team’s six entries included full-time drivers Fourmaux and Alexandre Coria, but after the pair suffered serious injuries in a violent crash on the penultimate stage of last weekend’s Ypres Rally Belgium, it will be difficult to fix the vehicle in time.
However, Fourmaux and co-driver Coria will travel to Greece to finish the reconnaissance and collect useful data for further trips to the rally.
Fourmaux’s spokesperson said, “Due to his accident on Ypres Rally, it is not possible for the team to repair Adrien Fourmaux’s car in time for Acropolis Rally.”
