Portugal to host the debut of MotoGP 2023!

MotoGP has tracks around the world. Now after the 2022 season of MotoGP ends, Portugal is all set to host the 2023 FIM MotoGP. Not only this, Autodromo Internacional do Algarve of Portugal will be the season opener of 2023 MotoGP.

Since 2007, FIM has been starting with their MotoGP calendar in Qatar. The Losail circuit will go under some maintenance and renovation, thus giving it a golden chance to Portugal to redeem itself.

Although the full calendar of the 2023 MotoGP races is yet to be released by FIM, Portugal has been confirmed as the opening host country for the premier motorcycle racing. The Portuguese MotoGP will be the first country to host the debut of FIM MotoGP in Europe since 2006. Not only this, it will be the third season opener in Europe in 3 decades!

The track has hosted MotoGP seasons since 2020 and is a favourable track for Fabio Quartararo as he has won the last two races on this Portuguese track.

The racetrack was created as a component of an inventive international project to offer a wide range of facilities to the most diverse sectors of the automotive industry, from constructors to racing teams and businesses, allowing them to present, test, and develop their goods.

Because of the track’s layout, viewers can enjoy stunning, expansive views from every grandstand.

The Grand Tour’s (Amazon Prime, 2016) highly anticipated premiere was filmed at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, pushing the three supercars—the McLaren P1, Porsche 918, and Ferrari LaFerrari—to their absolute limits.

It will also be the first time Portugal has ever hosted the first race of the calendar year, and anticipation for the upcoming campaign is expected to pick up steam on the Algarve when the grid makes its debut with its new colours and equipment and the first trophies of the year are given out.

The Portuguese track is also set to host winter test races before the commencement of MotoGP 2023.
