Razgatlioglu: The New Champion

Razgatlioglu did not have the proper form when the WSBK race commenced. But to the surprise and excitement of all, he managed to win the race. Meanwhile, Rea drove to take out Bautista. This was Razgatlioglu’s second win in a row this weekend at Magny-Cours.

At Turn 3, pole-sitter Razgatlioglu lost a position to Jonathan Rea’s Kawasaki before falling behind Bautista’s Ducati.

The struggle between the WSBK’s “big three” was won by the Turkish rider, who quickly made up the lost position and quickly overtook Rea and Bautista to retake the lead of the race.

Meanwhile, the race took a surprising turn when Rea slammed into Bautista’s bike when he was going into Turn 13. The crash was so bizarre that Bautista had no options left but to retire from the race.

Given his recent performance, Razgatlioglu should have had an easy victory with Bautista withdrawing from Sunday’s championship race and Rea receiving a lengthy lap penalty for the incident.
