Remy Exits KTM, Joins Yamaha

Remy Gardner is out from the Tech 3 KTM team for the next year. According to the KTM team’s road racing vice-president Jens Haibach, Remy was not professional enough for the team.

Remy had earlier hinted that he had options on his table for the upcoming season and that he was ready to rise from the position of being just a test rider in the MotoGP paddock.

Meanwhile, GTR Yamaha has announced Remy’s place on the team for the 2023 WSBK season. He will be coming in as the replacement of Garrett Gerloff, who is off to join the Bonovo Action BMW Team.

Raul Fernandez, Gardner’s current Tech 3 KTM partner, will continue competing in MotoGP for the next two years with RNF Aprilia, and Moto2 front-runner Augusto Fernandez will assume Gardner’s spot at Tech 3.

Takaaki Nakagami will stay with Honda for 2023, according to an LCR announcement made earlier this week after Moto2 leader Ai Ogura decided to compete in the intermediate division for one more year. Additionally, Marco Bezzecchi, who has previously signed a two-year contract with Valentino Rossi’s VR46 squad, has been informed that he would remain with the team till 2023 together with Luca Marini.
