Sarthak Chavan Becomes the First Indian Racer to Qualify at Thailand Talent Cup

Sarthak Chavan, a young rider from Chennai, broke a new record for Honda Racing India by finishing on the podium in the Thailand Talent Cup (TTC) 2022, Round 2. An Indian rider has earned a stunning victory on international grounds for the first time in Honda Racing India’s history. In the first week of May 2022, TTC Round 2 was held at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram.

15-year-old Indian racer began in 12th position and climbed his way up to 5th position. Despite the track being wet, Chavan managed to finish the race in the 3rd position with a timing of 0.583 seconds behind the leader.

Kevin Quintal, another young racer from Chennai managed to gather eyeballs for himself as he climbed from his initial 15th position up to 9th position with a timing of 29:50:642, overtaking 5 riders in the first lap itself.

It is indeed a happy moment for the Indian motorsport enthusiasts to see Indian riders gaining traction on the international podiums. If everyone could just keep pumping and encouraging these young master riders, India’s dream of competing in class 1 races like MotoGP and Formula 1 will not be far-fetched.

We congratulate these young marvelous riders for making a place for India on the international racing forums!
