Silverstone MotoGP: The Clash of the Champions
MotoGP is heading towards Silverstone Grand Prix after its summer break. The upcoming MotoGP race is bound to be exciting as the champions are ready after the summer break to compete with each other, making Silverstone GP worth the wait.
World champion Fabio Quartararo is excited for the upcoming Silverstone MotoGP as it is one of his favourite tracks. Despite his hunger to win and excitement to race at Silverstone, due to his errors at Assen, the world champion will have to endure a penalty at the upcoming MotoGP race.
In Assen Quartararo crashed into Espargaro which resulted in him being penalised with a long lap penalty. And since Quartararo and Espargaro are the best of the rivals this season, it might come as a golden opportunity for Espargaro.
This is the first time Quartarao has been penalised for any error. Despite having to cover a long lap, he is quite confident and said that the summer break was fruitful as he had ample time to rest and practise. He has also won the race at Silverstone last year, so it will be an edge for him.
And while Quartararo won last year and claims to have an advantage due to this, Espargaro too claimed the podium for the first time in Silverstone.
Needless to say, it is going to be one of the best MotoGP races.
Francesco Bagnaia, the Ducati rider, will be hoping to build on his victory at Assen, where he easily defeated Marco Bezzecchi and Maverick Vinales.
Ducati has been competitive at every track so far this season, and Silverstone shouldn’t be any different for the Italian manufacturer despite the absence of the British Grand Prix in 2018 and 2020.
Bastianini is another strong competitor at Silverstone GP. Bastianini though failed to complete the races in the top five this season, he still has three wins in his bag. Gresini teammate Di Giannantonio has performed well than Bastianini.
Well, Silverstone GP is going to be full of expectations, drama and thrill. With all the rivals having ample amount of rest and practice, it is rather hard to predict who can win the Silverstone MotoGP!
