TVS Racing Team Has Now Become Petronas TVS Racing

For a long time, TVS has been preparing something for its enthusiasts. And it is finally in front of us, thanks to a long-term relationship between TVS Racing and Petronas Lubricants International, which has resulted in the factory racing team being renamed Petronas TVS Racing.

The Petronas TVS Racing team has a new livery and will compete in road races, supercross races, and rally events, such as the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC), Indian National Supercross Championship (INSC), and Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) (INRC). The TVS OMC RR 310, TVS OMC Rookie, TVS OMC Women’s, and the TVS OMC Young Media Racer Program are among the TVS Racing One Make competitions for this year. Petronas TVS Racing also showed off their race cars, which now have a new Petronas TVS Racing livery.

TVS Racing will gain from this agreement since Petronas will provide its racing teams with high-spec Sprinta engine oil, and a worldwide presence like Petronas might increase interest in Indian motorsport. This collaboration helps road users as well, as the two companies have collaborated to manufacture a race-grade engine oil for TVS’ road-spec bikes, the Petronas TVS TRU4 engine oil, which will be accessible across India starting in May 2022.

K.N Radhakrishnan, Director & CEO of TVS Motor Company, said “We are delighted to have Petronas as our partner for TVS Racing. Petronas comes with many progressive technological solutions, backed by significant wins in prominent racing events. I am confident that Petronas’ global expertise and solid presence in motorsports combined with TVS Racing’s four decades of strong racing heritage will take us to greater heights.”

Datuk Sazali Hamzah, Executive Vice President and CEO of Downstream Petronas, said “Petronas continues to make headway across the value chain in India. Amongst the examples of a significant portfolio, enhancements include supplying LPG through IndianOil Petronas Pvt. Ltd. (IPPL), provision of rooftop solar panels via AmPlus Energy. Today, we seal a stronger partnership with one of India’s most respected OEM, TVS Motor Company, with the Petronas TVS Racing Team launch. Petronas lubricants have a solid track record in global motorsport events, and we are proud to support TVS Racing’s ambitions.”

The racers for the 2022 Indian Supercross Championship have been revealed: Rugved Barguje, Ikshan, and CD Jinan are in Group A, while Kali Mohan, Imran Pasha, Sachin D, Nataraj R, and Banteliang are in Group B.

Petronas TVS Racing also unveiled their 2022 INMRC racer roster, which includes Jagan Kumar, KY Ahmed, and Deepak Ravikumar in the pro stock 165cc category and Jagan Kumar, KY Ahmed, and Deepak Ravikumar in the 300cc-400cc category.
