Honda and Yamaha are on the Same Boat!
Yamaha is doing some wonderful things in MotoGP. With its all-new bikes and riders with a brand new raging attitude, Yamaha is all set to soar higher than ever before. Maybe this is what Yamaha was missing in the first place altogether.
Fabio Quartararo leads the 2022 world championship by four points after the first seven races, with victories in Portugal and second-place results in Indonesia and Spain, despite the remainder of the field’s unreliability. However, his performances have well surpassed those of his other Yamaha riders, with Franco Morbidelli, Quartararo’s teammate, 83 points behind him in 17th place with a high of eighth in Indonesia.
Dovizioso has only collected eight points on his factory-spec Yamaha, which is managed by RNF Racing and has failed to adapt to the riding style required to get the most out of the M1, which is to brake late and maximise corner speed to compensate for the bike’s power deficits.
Dovizioso feels the scenario is similar to Honda’s in prior years when only six-time world champion Marc Marquez was able to extract the best results out of a troublesome bike.
According to Dovizioso, the bike is good at some aspects as Fabio showcased his skills flawlessly on the machine. Dovizioso also said that Fabio has that sensation, and he can dance on any track while making a lot of speed in the turns. With this bike, it’s the only way to go fast, and even faster than before. Because the chassis is so fantastic at the entrance and centre of the turns, it offers you the option.
Dovizioso noted that Honda most likely put itself in that position on purpose to avoid developing a bike that Marquez couldn’t ride, even though its drastic revamp for 2022 has done just that.
